my story

My name is Charissa Kelly, but most people call me Rissa.

I have nearly 30 years of experience in the beauty industry, mainly focused on hair.

After graduating from Chic University, I made sure I worked in salons that provided ongoing education. The beauty industry is continually changing at fast pace. In order to be a first class professional, continuing education is very important. The benefits of making sure I stayed up on current styles, techniques and products, I was able to open my own salon. With the help from my husband and loyal clientele I am loving what I do! I enjoy meeting new people and listening to their beauty concerns, stories about “them”, or sometimes not talk at all while clients can relax. Rissa Kelly Salon is a fully licensed establishment with the State of Michigan and City of Wyoming. “The American Institute of Hair color” honors and recognizes that Rissa Kelly is an All Nutrient Color Specialist. 

My intention with every appointment is to listen and do my best work for every client in a clean, relaxing, stress free environment.
